Meet Marta:

“I have a BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts qualification and a HND in dance.

I have been teaching and performing with Nzinga Dance company for about 14 years now and along the way I have taught at various other establishments such as The Place Dance Centre and educational centres across the UK.

I also teach traditional African/Caribbean, Afro Latin and modern dance classes with Nzinga Dance Company.

I love to teach dance so it made sense to me to have my own Popdance Licence!

What I love most about dance is the way it brings people together and allows us to express ourselves in such a creative and powerful way. It’s all about connection, energy, and sharing joy with others, and I find that so inspiring.

In my spare time, I love to bake – there’s nothing better than whipping up something delicious to share with friends and family.

When I’m not dancing or baking, you’ll likely find me wandering through exhibitions across London, soaking up all the creativity and inspiration the city has to offer!

“I love the mix of vibes between Catford and Enfield!

Catford has this lively, community feel with loads of character – there’s always something going on, and the food spots are great.

Enfield, on the other hand, is a bit more chilled with lots of green spaces, which is perfect when I want to slow down and recharge.

Having the contrast between the two keeps things interesting, and being in London means I’m never far from something exciting, whether it’s work, events, or just exploring new places!”
