What’s your name and where are you in the world?

I’m Megan Mooney and I live in Central London!

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer a bit of everything! I teach Modern, Broadway Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet and even some Adult Fitness & Dance classes.

What got you into dance? 

I have been performing since the age of 5. I went to McDonald College a Musical Theatre school at the age of 15. I studied full-time dance at Brent Street in Australia when I was 16, 17 and 18. I spent two years working on choreography and improvisation earning myself a Cert IV in Dance. I ‘ve worked as the lead singer/dancer at Luna Park, Australia’s most iconic Theme Park.

I have been teaching Dancing, Acting, and Singing since I was 18. I’ve worked with beginners all the way through to highly advanced dancers. 

Why did you want to work with Popdance?

I have a big passion for choreography and storytelling. A big part of my teaching style that is quite unique and important is to do with acting through dance. I’ve learnt some easy techniques that I’d love to share with your kids. Understanding why the movement is happening and making sure my choreography has a journey and a through line is a big focus for me. I am very encouraging whilst also pushing people to be their best!
