BLOGGING TIPS FOR DANCE TEACHERS – BASIC AND QUICK FOR SEARCH ENGINES

These are some very simple tips to make your blog more search engine friendly.

KEYWORDS

Know what keywords you want to use within your blog, i.e. dance classes in St. Albans, or Birthday parties for 3 year olds – try to make them as specific as you can.

TITLES

It is important to feature your key words in the Title of your blog.

So, for this example, our keywords are Dance Teachers.  Keep your keywords as far left as you can in the title.  Also, look at your permalink and include your keywords as far left as you can.

It is important to have headings throughout your post – we’ve made this heading a “heading 3″ (we are using wordpress) and have included our keywords in the heading again.

Whenever you include an image, there is the opportunity to include your keywords here too – in the Title and also the Alternate Text – again, keep your key words as far left as you can

Use your keywords several times where you can – obviously without overloading your blog post and ensuring it reads well – don’t try to trick Google by posting your keywords over and over again in a paragraph as Google is too clever for that    It also helps if you bold your keywords.  So this Dance Teachers Blogging Tips post can be put in bold.

Make sure your blog is original and you haven’t just copied it from somewhere else.

Do you have an SEO plug in to your website?  If not it may be worth you looking into getting one.  We have All In One SEO.  Include your keywords in the Custom Title Tag and also in the meta description – again, to the left if you can.  The meta description is what comes up when someone googles you – it’s your chance to sell the click really.  The keyword section is not as important as Google doesn’t really look there anymore.
