Dancing in schoolsDancing in Schools

Have you thought about running your dance classes in schools?

After school clubs, breakfast clubs, lunchtime clubs and that’s without things like PE/PPA cover.

With upcoming changes to Primary PE to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sports activities they offer their pupils – now is the perfect time to introduce dance.

The new vision is “All pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport”.

At Popdance, our sessions work alongside the National Curriculum, making it a perfect addition to schools physical activity sessions and extra curriculum requirements.  We have proposals, downloads and videos that our teachers can use to approach their local schools.

Here’s a sneaky peek at our “Why Popdance in Schools” video:

Schools could also be eligible for funding!

funding-4-sport green1When you speak to your local school about dance sessions they could be eligible for funding for your services.  Speak to Funding 4 Sport who offer expert advice on the availability of funding that could enhance provision for sport, PE and physical activity in a school, club or organisation and help them to fund activities just like yours.
