I left Westminster lodge with a spring in my step as I do every Tuesday night.
Even though I long to sit on the sofa and have a glass of wine after a busy day, I drag my bottom out into the dark and cold and soon feel like I am 10 again.
I don’t know what it it. Perhaps it’s some of the classic tracks that we dance to, or just the upbeat tempo of the latest pop tracks but it just puts a massive smile on my face.
I may be the worse dancer in the world but let me tell you that I absolutely love it. And have done for the last 5 years.
It’s a great way to tone up, get active and work on some fab dance moves. From iconic moves to the latest gangnam style skip, we do them all.
And do you know what, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve met tons of people, made tons of new friends, been on stage in a kylie Minogue can’t get you out of my head outfit dancing with a man in a Cheryl cole fight for this love outfit, danced in bare feet by the Thames for 4 hours with headphones on, and even performed the zombie stomp whilst trying not to laugh.
Dance has become a massive part of my life. And a massive joy to my life. Dancing makes me happy. It’s time out for me! Where I can lose myself in the music and the moment.
