What got you into dance?
I started dancing when I was 2 1/2 at a small community centre near where I lived as my Grandparents were keen to get me to a class as I wouldn’t stop dancing around when they look after me!
I am now a qualified ISTD dance teacher, teaching all different styles of dance – Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Street, Acro and cheerleading.
I LOVE what I do. Just seeing the students progress from where they start to where they are now is such an amazing thing to see!
Also I love the fact when I’m teaching (nothing else matters) I come out from teaching and forget what day it is!
Dance just makes me feel good & I get a real buzz from it. I can forget about everything else and just have fun! I love being creative with choreography
I danced from the age of 2 1/2 at a local dance school.
At the age of 16-18 I trained as a Personal Trainer gaining my Level 3 PT in Fitness & Instruction.
At 18 I trained professionally at Anthony Clifford Studies & gained my DDE (teaching Qualification in ISTD Modern & Tap.
Then trained at Dance Projection and gained my DDE in ISTD Ballet.
I also qualified as an Acrobatic teacher.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love going out for meals (I’m a massive foodie!) and spending time with family.
I love a spa day and getting my nails done.
What do you love about the area you live and work in?
In Hertfordshire I love that the community of dance teachers is so close and if you ever need help or guidance there’s always someone to help.
Hertfordshire has a great selection of theatres for Annual or Bi-Annual dance shows for dance schools.
Why did you want to work with Popdance?
I am always looking to broaden my teaching skills and wanted to start working on some parties. I have done a few in the past but wanted somewhere where I can hopefully get some more booked in!
Again, also looks like a good community of teachers.
