We’re thrilled to introduce our amazing Popdance instructor Braleigh, throwing dance parties in Panama City!

We can’t wait to see Florida moving and grooving!

What’s your name and where are you in the world?

My name is Braleigh Rocher and I’m located in Panama City, FL!

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, and conditioning/personal training

What got you into dance?

I was a very active child, so when my kindergarten best friend invited me to try a dance class with her, I fell in love with dancing!

I began competing just three months after my introduction to dance and have been dancing a total of sixteen years.

I’ve been a teacher and choreographer for recreational and competitive teams since 2016 and have won numerous choreography awards for my work.

I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Online Coach, CPR, & First Aid Certified. I have experience teaching and coaching children and adults in both dance and personal training.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to read, write, exercise, spend time with my two dogs and family!

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

My area has beautiful beaches, wonderful studios, local coffee shops, boutiques, and a great sense of community and hospitality!

Why did you want to work with Popdance?

Popdance provided so many opportunities for both dancers and instructors to find a community in the large, often intimidating dance world. This made me want to learn more about their goals and led to me eventually becoming a registered teacher!

What’s your name and where are you in the world?

I’m Riley Jubbie and I teach dance in Birmingham.

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer breakdance, street dance, hip hop, capoeira, tap, jazz, contemporary, areal hoop.

What got you into dance?

I have learnt breakdance since I was very young. I then went on to pursue a degree in Dance.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to go to the gym and read!

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

There’s always young people that want to get involved in dance in the Birmingham area.

I’m Shivam Arora and I teach dance in India.

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer Urban, hip-hop , Bollywood, freestyle, popping, locking, Punjabi Bhangra , and all other Indian styles.

What got you into dance?

I have been dancing since I was 12 years old. I used to watch dance videos on television all the time, and since then I developed a huge passion for it.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to create new dance choreography and try some freestyle dancing.

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

The nature here is beautiful, so I can dance everywhere here ❤️

What’s your name and where are you in the world?

I’m Emma Gilby and I teach in Hertfordshire, UK.

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer Tap, Ballet, Modern, SEND specific and Musical Theatre.

What got you into dance?

I have danced since the age of 3, and began assisting classes at 14. At 19, I went to America to teach dance to children and adults with additional needs, and did this for 2 summers in Chicago. When I returned to the UK, I decided I wanted to pursue dancing, and studied in my DDE’s in Tap and Modern. I am now also studying for the Ballet equivalent qualification. I also perform and choreograph locally in amateur dramatic societies.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I perform in shows throughout the year in various local productions, as well as choreographing for this. I also love to walk my dog, and practise the guitar in my spare time.

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

I work in a variety of venues across Hertfordshire, mainly in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and Stevenage.

Why did you want to work with Popdance?

I love working with new and varied people. Popdance offers me the opportunity to meet and interact with a wide student base and have fun while doing so!

What’s your name and where are you in the world?

I’m Valentina Sicari, I am Italian and I teach in London.

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer Ballet, Contemporary and Modern Jazz.

What got you into dance?

Since I was a little girl, I have had a passion for dance, movement and acting with a dream to become a dancer and actress. I started my journey in my own town, Sicily, where I trained in Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, while also trying different styles such as Flamenco, Hip Hop, Salsa and Afro Dance. I danced and acted also having leading roles in Theatre in my city. From 2005 to 2008 I taught Jazz and Contemporary dance to kids and teenagers, also choreographing pieces for the final performance in Theatre. In 2013 I moved to London to study English and train in the most prestigious dance studios in London, such as Pineapple Studios, The Place, and the Central School of Ballet. I performed in London with Zootrophic, worked at Secret Cinema and performed action roles within films. In 2018 I moved to Paris to dance in Disneyland and in 2020 I specialised in Contemporary Dance at the Centre National de la Danse, obtaining the qualification of ‘Professeur de Danse’. From 2020 to 2023 I taught Ballet, Modern and Contemporary Dance. While teaching I danced and acted in a few shows in my own town in Sicily, such as Turandot Opera, Scatola and Hello from Bertha. I really love teaching dance and creating new choreographies and I believe that dance makes life more beautiful! My teaching technique emphasizes an understanding of the body, mind and movement with a positive and energetic vibe. Now, I am back in London and enthusiastic to be starting a new chapter in my life teaching dance and also into more dance opportunities.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Dance training, hanging out with friends, shopping, cooking and improving my artistic profile!

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

It’ s quiet, well connected with transport and has nice places to walk.

I see this opportunity as a way to contribute to an exciting company and I feel I can do so with my knowledge and experience!

What’s your name and where are you in the world?

I’m Louise Riley and  I teach in Runcorn/Liverpool (merseyside).

What kind of dance to you currently offer?

I currently offer Contemporary, Lyrical and Commercial.

What got you into dance?

I started in school with GCSE dance and from there I began with ballet, then did modern tap and contemporary. I then did a BTEC and A-Level in dance, and I am now currently in University studying dance.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to play netball! I have been playing netball for longer then I’ve been dancing

What do you love about the area you live and work in?

I live in runcorn when I’m not at university and there isn’t much to do. However, this summer I have been going around my local area teaching dance classes! Liverpool is much better for the culture and dance classes.

I take classes through my university and classes run by other companies. I particularly like to take heels classes that are run by an amazing dance teacher. (LA Choreography). I always take advantage of the free and accessible theatre on my campus, that always has guest choreographers and performances.

I have been apart of the Hope Performance project with my university, that creates and facilitates workshops for dance schools and colleges around our area and have been very successful with it. I have also worked with a charity called Sefton Children’s Trust that provides children with a week’s adventure holiday! I was the sole leader of the dance workshops and put together a whole show at the end of the week!

Why did you want to work with Popdance?

So I can have a head start with teaching with the support of Popdance!
