Popdance Finalist in Business Growth Award
We are super chuffed to be Finalists in the St Albans District Chamber of Commerce Community Business Awards 2021 under the Business Growth category.
This one goes to our whole team as well as all of our participants – especially over the past couple of years.
Covid made things extremely tough for everyone, and left people feeling isolated, depressed, inactive and struggling with their mental health. We are super proud of our team for quickly adapting (as soon as the music licensing enabled us to), for taking their classes, workshops and parties online and giving people the feel good factor. Enabling communities to connect, endorphins to charge, and physical activity to really make a huge difference to so many people.
We are also super proud to be working with many more incredible dance teachers and dance schools across the UK and the globe including Hungary, Wales, Ireland, USA, Dubai, Cyprus, India, Switzerland, Scotland, Turkey, Kenya and Austria. The growth of Popdance is purely down to building strong relationships with incredible dance teachers and dance schools. Working together to bring all genres of dance and fitness to people of all ages and abilities.
We look forward to building even more connections across the globe to meet the demand for the incredible benefits that dance and fitness bring.
A huge THANK YOU to whoever nominated us – and a big, whopping THANK YOU to our incredible team and our fantastic participants across the globe.
Keeping dancing!
Meet The Team – Kayleigh Harradine
Meet The Team – Kayleigh Harradine – Stevenage, Herts, UK
What’s your name and where are you in the world?
Kayleigh Harradine – England. Hertfordshire, Stevenage
What kind of dance do you currently offer?
Dance styles I offer are street dance, commercial, contemporary and pop dance parties/workshops for either adults or kids. I also offer dance fitness for adults and older teens.
What got you into dance?
I’ve danced since I was younger doing the classic ballet tap and modern. Slowly progressed during school at GCSE and A-Level dance. Then carried on my passion at university. Graduating in 2019 with a first class degree in dance and professional practice. I’ve taught dance to ages 3-18 since graduating and would hopefully in the future like to continue to teaching and open up my own school one day.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to keep busy, when I’m not dancing or teaching I love spending time with family and friends. Weekends away are a great way for me to do that. Travelling is also another passion and I am set to travel to America for a long period of time.
What do you love about the area you live and work in?
I live in a town called Stevenage in Hertfordshire in the UK. There are many opportunities for dancers in this area, lots of dance schools and classes for people to take. When I open up my own I would like to cater for a gap in the market and really search for something that hasn’t been done yet.
Why did you want to work with Popdance?
Popdance intrigued me because the idea of having a dance class as a party for younger people but also for adults makes a dance teacher very happy. That’s a great vibe all in one place. I would love to share my knowledge on dance and make someone’s birthday a fun one all in one go.
What are you looking forward to for the year ahead?
Experiencing new adventures with teaching as every class is different. Seeing where my journey can go as an individual with dance and my own school. And also travelling to America, I’m super excited for!

A Ray of Sunshine Just When I Needed It
How Dancing Made A Huge Difference To Me
“Such strange times! How easy to settle into inertia during the pandemic with jobs on hold, social interaction withheld, exercise sessions cancelled. We have all settled into a parallel universe of abnormal normality and our mental well-being has been hammered.
PopdanceFit 15 minute sessions has provided a perfect antidote to this.
With a fabulous selection of 15 videos led by 7 brilliant instructors, this offers flexibility and convenience as well as a brilliant sense of fun.
Each time I log on, I choose a different session, each with a personality of its own. I love engaging with the instructors, bouncing around my personal space and humming to the tunes as well as keeping fit with the easy-to-follow routines.
They energise and encourage positivity and at the end of the 15 minutes I want to yell out a huge THANK YOU.
During the darkest of times, PopdanceFit has injected rays of sunshine into each day.
Thank you, PopdanceFit and thank you to the fabulous instructors.”
